An interactive and immersive audio-visual installation that critically investigates the effects of anthropogenic underwater noise pollution in the North Sea. The work focuses on shipping noise in particular which directly overlaps the frequency band of acoustic communication signals used by many marine animals. Upon entering the installation, visitors are simultaneously exposed to a noise scape of their own making. Each visitor becomes a noise source

By using highly precise object detection cameras and 4K projectors, a real-time space mapping is created. A custom software tracks the audience and recomposes the visuals and sound, based on their position.
