Sandipan Nath (1991. Silchar, IN) blends social and ecological fictions with contemporary technologies and their histories. Nath examines the role of language, listening and care to better understand the connections between humans, non-humans and technical objects. He produces works that span sound, video, installation and site-specific intervention.

Dedicated to research of digital culture's contemporary forms and politics, Sandipan works with the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK) in close collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (KC) and Platform for Arts Research in Collaboration (PARC). His focus lies on helping students develop a transitional layer between academic discourse and artistic practice within the academy and beyond. 

Sandipan has exhibitted and performed at venues such as Rijksmuseum Twenthe (Enchede, NL), Rotterdam Art Week (Rotterdam, NL), Schemerlicht Festival (Nijmegen, NL), Instrument Inventors Initiative (Den Haag, NL), V2_Lab (Rotterdam, NL), Dutch Design Week (Eindhoven, NL), The Grey Space in the Middle (Den Haag, NL), Utrecht University (Utrecht, NL) and Akademie der Künste (Berlin, DE) 

After obtaining his bachelors degree (2015) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology, (Silchar) India, Sandipan moved to Netherlands where he pursued his masters degree (2020) in arts from Master Industrial Design department at Royal Academy of Arts, The Hague.
