Sandipan creates artworks incorporating new media, sound, installation, music, video, assemblage and software. He confronts his sonic compositions through radio, audio-visual media and performance art. Moving between ambient and abrasive, it takes shape as world-building that is infrastructurally haunted, made with field recordings, modular hardware and decayed broadcast material.

Born in India, 1991, Sandipan grew up in Silchar, Assam where he began his classical percussion training at an early age and pursued engineering before shifting focus to sound and media art. After moving to Den Haag in 2018, he joined the Royal Academy of Arts and started developing approaches to the merging of sound, installation, and performance arts.

Sandipan has exhibited and performed at venues such as Rijksmuseum Twenthe (Enchede), Rotterdam Art Week, Schemerlicht Festival (Nijmegen), V2_Lab (Rotterdam), Dutch Design Week (Eindhoven), Instrument Inventors Initiative (The Hague), The Grey Space in the Middle (The Hague), Utrecht University, Akademie der Künste (Berlin), and ACUD CLUB (Berlin).
